CROCKETT

Donald Keith Crockett, 66, a lifelong resident of Slidell, passed way after a lengthy battle with lung cancer Tuesday, Aug., 31, 2010.

He was a graduate of Slidell High School and Atlanta Broadcasting School.

He retired from the city of Slidell and was the voice of Tulane football and basketball in the 80’s and voice of “WSDL Friday Night High School Football.”

Don is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Carolyn Galatas Crockett; and was the loving father of Scott Christopher Crockett and daughter in law Carolyn M. Crockett; devoted grandfather to Brady Christopher Crockett and Conner Christian Crockett; brother of Joel Richard Crockett and sister-in-law Annette Crockett; and also survived by loving, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law and many friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Honaker Funeral Home, 1750 Gause Blvd., Slidell. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m.

    " Our family is wondering why this was not run in the paper today on Sunday? Did this run in the paper on a different date and if so, what date was this published in the paper? Thanks for your reply. "
