Who will be the 2010-2011 St. Tammany Parish Fair Queens to help the fair celebrate over 100 years?

On Sept. 19, St. Tammany Parish Fair Queen Victoria Tramell will relinquish her crown to the new 2010 Miss St. Tammany Parish Fair Queen. Tramell, the reigning Miss St. Tammany, along with Lynsey Jones, Junior Miss St. Tammany, and Amanda Strain, Princess Miss St. Tammany, have represented the parish fair by riding in various St. Tammany parades as well as traveling to other festivals across Louisiana. All of the queens have volunteered at Monster Mash. Tramell represented the parish at the LAFF Queen of Queens Pageant in February. She has traveled more than 1,000 miles visiting fairs and festivals across the state of Louisiana.

The Miss Division (ages 17-23) will compete in interview and evening gown.

A trophy will be given to the preliminary award winners of interview and Miss Congeniality. Miss St. Tammany 2010-2011 will receive a custom monogrammed banner, a genuine Austrian crystal crown pin, a large trophy, a 9 inch crown, a queen’s bag filled with gifts, a $750 cash scholarship (awarded at the end of her reign by the STPF Association) and will receive the $250 Donald L. Primes Memorial Scholarship (also awarded at the end of her reign). The 2010-2011 Miss St. Tammany Parish Fair Queen will have her entry fee paid to represent St. Tammany Parish at the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Queen of Queens Pageant. The new Miss queen will be required to sign a contract committing herself to visit at least six other fairs/festivals and participate in local parades.

Princess Miss contestants are ages 12 through 14. Junior Miss contestants may be 15 and 16 years of age. The Princess Miss and the Junior Miss divisions will compete in evening gown only. The Princess Miss and Junior Miss winners will receive a 9-inch crown, custom monogrammed banner, genuine Austrian crystal crown pin, large trophy, and a queen’s bag filled with gifts. At the end of their reign, the Princess Miss will receive a $300 cash scholarship and Jr. Miss will receive a $500 cash scholarship.
