The marriage of Nancy Louise Dubuisson and Zachary Jacob Barker was celebrated June 26, 2010, in the courtyard of the Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans.

The Hon. Marilyn Carr Castle of Lafayette, aunt of the bride, officiated. The ceremony’s music was provided by Harry Hardin and Barney Floyd. Readings were delivered by Dorothy Kora Locascio, Kaitlin Occhipinti, both of New Orleans, and Jeremiah Pyron of Nashville, Tenn. A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents in the French Quarter Bar at the Ritz-Carlton.

The bride is the daughter of Joan Dubuisson and Nicholls Dubuisson Jr., both of Slidell and formerly of Opelousas. The groom is the son of Julie and Norm Barker of Nashville.

The bride, whose mother is the former Joan Carr of Lafayette, graduated from Salmen High School, received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C., and her doctorate from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed her residency training in anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She is employed at the Surgery Center in Lafayette.

She is the granddaughter of Nancy Haas Kimbrough of Lafayette and the late Dr. Thomas A. Kimbrough of Lafayette, John A. Carr, Nick Dubuisson and Louise Sandoz Dubuisson, all of Opelousas.

The bride wore a classic hand-draped sheath gown of sheer silk chiffon with a sweetheart neckline in candlelight.

Bridesmaids were Ashley Barker of Chicago and Olivia Barker of Smryna, Tenn., sisters of the groom. Matron of honor was Tracy McGrane of Nashville.

The groom received his Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. He is the owner of The BarkLoud Group in Lafayette.

He is the grandson of the late Lorraine and Jim Weathers of Kansas City, Kansas and Sarah and Norman Barker of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Groomsmen were Nick Dubuisson of New Orleans, brother of the bride, and Josh Anderson of Nashville. Best man was Todd Shafer of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
