SSA and St. Paul’s take week two team honors

MHS’ Bradley wins girls; MHS’ Haile and SPS’ Pierce ties for boys’ title

Mandeville’s Elise Bradley captured the girls’ individual medalist honor with a 36 March 3 at Money Hill, while MHS’ Evans Haile and St. Paul’s Brandon Pierce posted 37s to tie for the boys’ individual title in week 2 of the Northshore Golf League.

St. Scholastica Academy earned the girls team title with a 100 edging Mandeville by three strokes, while Northshore’s Lady Panthers finished third at 112.

SSA’s Monica Caire posted a 46 followed by Lauren Barattini (54) to earn the title for the Doves, SSA’s Margaret Day (62), Sara Gilkore (65) and Anna McCulla (67) also competed for the Doves.

Fontainebleau’s Jennifer Exley (52) earned a third place individual finish followed by Northshore’s Kristen VandeVoorde (54), NHS’ Bridget Landry (58). Mandeville’s Rachel Cole (67) helped the Lady Skippers to their second place finish.

Hammond’s Brittney Watts shot a 61.

In the boys’ competition, St. Paul’s won the team event shooting a 162 followed by Fontainebleau (169), Northshore (182), Mandeville (181), Slidell (185), Ponchatoula (175), while Hammond and Covington tied at 204.

FHS’John Griffitt (38) finished one stroke back, while NHS’ Alex Black and SPS’ Jeremy Kratzberg (39) were two strokes back followed by SHS’ Garrett Tranchina (40) and HHS’ Keeno Jackson (40).

FHS’ Matt Moseley and PHS’ Nick Lemoine (41) were next.

FHS’ Conner Smith along with SPS’ Kiff Myrtle and Quentin Munn all shot 43 followed by NHS’ Gus Schroeder (44).

SPS’ Jonah Johnson, PHS’ Tanner Tomes and SHS’ Collin Pentland (45) followed by MHS’ Zak Kromer, NHS’ Nick Parker, HHS’ Casey Moll and PHS’ Matt Hampton, who all came in at 46.
