Gloria Hall Edler, 84, joined God and started flying with the angels March 8, 2010.

She was the beloved wife of Seymour F. Edler for 68 years; cherished mother of Simone Boell, Fred Edler and Faye de Guiter; daughter of the late Antoinette Gulino and Harold Hall; grandmother of Sheri, Keith, Lauren, Lisa, Mark and Elliot; great-grandmother of Stephen, Jessica, Sean, Anthony, Kia and Kamille and mother-in-law to Ferdinand Boell Jr., Gerry de Guiter and Lynelle Edler.

In addition to being a wife and wonderful mother, Gloria was an entrepreneur, teacher and successful thoroughbred horse owner. Gloria served as president of Our Lady of Divine Providence’s Keenagers Club for several terms and she was secretary of Chapter 4716 of the Slidell American Association of Retired People.

Join the family in celebrating Gloria’s life with a Mass and memorial service at 2 p.m. tomorrow at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Crossgates Blvd., Slidell. A gathering of family and friends will follow immediately in the church meeting room to share the joys of Gloria’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association in Gloria’s name.
