JENKINS Helen Mae Meyers Jenkins, a native and resident of Covington, died in the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 12, 1921, in Covington, and retired from the old AT&T Telephone Co. Helen loved and raised beautiful daylilies all her retired life. Survivors include three sons, Charles Ray Jenkins of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Gary Stephen Jenkins of Mandeville and Thomas Eric and Brenda Jenkins of Bush; a daughter and son-in-law, Dolores Diane and John Randolph Carter of Madisonville; one sister and brother-in-law, Grace Viola (James) Jarrell; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Emogene Meyers of Covington; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward, her parents, William and Mary Elizabeth Cox Meyers, a son, Edward William Jenkins, and granddaughter, Erica Noel Jenkins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at noon today in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington. Visitation is from 1 a.m. until service time.
