Never mind the typical bottle of wine or fruitcake as a gift, Kenneth McCormack found a better way to show his thanks. After real estate agent Lisa Kolarsky helped them land their new Northshore home, McCormack decided to show his appreciation for the agent by making a birdhouse that’s an exact replica of her unique church house in Pearl River. McCormack, a NASA engineer, has always had a knack for building, which is what prompted him to be different and give a unique gift that means something to the Kolarskys. Kolarsky said she will likely install the birdhouse somewhere in her home for safekeeping. Her church house was constructed several decades ago as an actual church that was de-commissioned after 50 years of service. Kolarsky purchased the then derelict building in the early 90s and transformed it into her home.
