Woofstock 2009 upcoming in Covington

Back by popular demand, the outdoor love fest known as Woofstock is returning to Bogue Falaya Park March 29. There will be canine contests, food, drinks including the doggie beers of Abita (Turbodog, Hound dog, Golden Retriever and Purple Pooch) and so much more.

The low cost clinic will begin at 9 a.m. offering $60 annual K-9 vaccinations, $10 microchip IDs, and discounted flea, tick and heartworm preventative. The clinic will be open until 2 p.m. The festival complete with live music, doggie contests, fun and games begin at 11 a.m.

Tickets are available for $8 in advance or $10 at the gate. Children under 12 get in for $4 or $5 at the gate. You may securely purchase tickets online at www.sthumane.org/eventswoofstock.html or by calling the St. Tammany Humane Society at 892-PETS (7387).


Vendors can purchase a spot in the middle of all the excitement for $100 or can sponsor the entire event for $500. Sponsorship includes a 10-feet x 10-feet space at Woofstock Festival, advertising on all 2009 Woofstock T-shirts and four free tickets to the festival. Sponsors will also receive a 2-feet x 1-foot banner ad adorning the mobile adoption van, visible in the community for weekly off-site pet adoptions, local festivals and area events.
