Benefit for Causeway police officer still on for Saturday

The benefit motorcycle poker run for Cpl. Ray Jenkins of the Causeway Police Department is still scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008.

This benefit is sponsored by the police motorcycle club Blue Knights Louisiana III and is being hosted by the Northshore Harley Davidson Dealership, 791 West I-10 Service Road, Exit 266 on I-10, Slidell. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. Raffle tickets will be available in addition to the last chance to ride your motorcycle before the storm.

Cpl. Ray Jenkins was injured in a motorcycle accident and has been unable to work.

The Blue Knights International Motorcycle Club is made up of local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who combine their love of motorcycles with charity work. Louisiana III is stationed in Washington and St. Tammany parishes.
