Mandeville Police now have a video and several still photos of the alleged suspect who robbed a Sonic Drive-in Monday morning.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s with short, brown hair, measuring about 5 feet 8 inches tall and near 230 pounds.

At approximately 1 a.m. while two female employees were closing the Sonic at 4610 Louisiana Highway 22, a white male armed with a handgun confronted them, Mandeville Police Captain Ron Ruple said.

The suspect who allegedly robbed a Mandeville Sonic Drive-in using a handgun has been caught on camera by the Mandeville Police after he visited nearby store.

According to the employees, the subject demanded the business safe be opened, which was not possible by the employees.

Instead, he managed to obtain an undisclosed amount of money from a cash register and from the employees themselves, Ruple said.

On the night of the alleged crime, he was wearing a black Sean-John brand T-shirt with gold lettering, blue jeans and brown boots.

The subject fled the business in an unknown direction.

Anyone with any information concerning this incident should call the Mandeville PD at 626-9711.
