A California man already in the St. Tammany Parish Jail on a charge of molesting a 7-year-old Slidell girl faces a new charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile after the first victim accused him of molesting her 8-year-old friend.

Josue A. Castro-Izaquirrez, 28, of Los Angeles, was arrested on the molestation charge June 3 after a standoff with police at the house of his girlfriend on Forestwood Court in Slidell. Police had gone to the house with a warrant for Izaquirrez after a 7-year-old girl told police Izaquirrez allegedly molested her in May while she was in bed.

Izaquirrez, and his girlfriend, Greta Schick, 40, held off police for about an hour.

Schick finally came out of the house and warned police that Izaquirrez was armed. When the suspect finally came out, police used a Taser on him and arrested him on one charges of molestation of a juvenile and resisting arrest. Schick was also arrested for resisting an officer by refusing to follow an officer’s command.

Slidell police spokesman Capt. Kevin Foltz said on Friday afternoon, Izaquirrez was brought back to the Slidell City Jail from the St. Tammany Parish Jail in Covington and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile after the first victim accused Izquirrez of fondling her 8-year-old friend, who was also sleeping in the bed with her. The victim said Izaquirrez lay down between the two of them and fondled both girls.

Izaquirrez is back in the St. Tammany Parish Jail.

If convicted, he could face 25 years to life in prison on each charge.
