The game was originally scheduled on Saturday but was called in the top of the third inning due to inclement weather with St. Martin’s holding a 7-0 lead. The teams resumed the game on Sunday with Hannan batting.
St. Martin’s Episcopal, the No. 4 seed, pounded out 13 hits. Hannan (5-20), the No. 29 seed, scored its lone run in the top of the fifth on Sunday. Chad Boihem reached on an error. Andrew Arceneaux came through with a single, the Hawks’ first hit off of Martinez, putting runners at first and second. Nathan Huerstel came through with a single down the third base line to score Boihem. Hannan starter Joey LaRocca (1-1) went two innings allowing seven runs on nine hits. Kyle Nunez relieved LaRocca going the final two and two-third innings.
